Last gig of the year

So as 2014 draws to a close, I had my last 2 gigs of the year this weekend. 

Saturday night I went to see my friends band Rock the Christmas stage in Bournemouth town, and yes did they Rock it great set by them as always.

Check out this band there are amazing and I am not just saying this because I know them, they truly Rock so go check them out do it right now.

And if you ever get a chance to see them live then do that too, I took a friend on Saturday night and after he said to me “wow they were a lot better than what I thought they would be... he enjoyed it. 

The only problem was it was an outdoors stage, and it was so cold Saturday night down here in Bournemouth, safe to say I was Jean Claude Van Damme cold (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_N4l0s7qU0) so hopped on a bus and headed for my favourite drinking place in Bournemouth The Anvil (http://www.theanvilbournemouth.co.uk/) had few drinks with Awesome friends and even made it home in time for the last #UFC of the year.

Just like Charlie Sheen Saturday night I was #Winning. 

Sunday night I went to see Deaf Havana at the O2 Academy here in Bournemouth, with my bud Chris. It was such a good show I forgot the support bands names but they were really good too, it got a little sad when Deaf Havana hit the stage and they were telling us stories of how they can’t afford to pay their phone bill and how a few months back they were thinking of calling it a day. I for one am so glad they didn’t and I’m a proud to say that   Deaf Havana will go down as the last band I saw live in 2014.

Now as disabled person I think a should add this in, I had to use the toilet last night at the O2 Academy (first time ever I should add) and they use a radar key which I do own I just left it at home (it’s such a big F’ing key you need a Mr. T chain, to carry the thin haha)

 so anyway spoke to a member of staff and after a few minutes she found me a key, I got in the toilet and holy shit I think it use to be used as the cleaners cupboard probably the smallest disabled toilet I’ve been in, as you all know I have custom made wheelchair so It’s not that wide, some people have bigger and wider wheelchairs than me they must struggle in there. Even Chris text me saying “How big is this pee? Haha

So O2 Academy Bournemouth if you are reading this you need a bigger disabled toilet.

But still the gig and my weekend was All the Fun :-) 

 

Sharing Is Caring

Yesterday I saw some friends sharing a video on Facebook so I watched it and its really sweet,

It’s of 19 year old Tasha who was diagnosed with Friedreichs Ataxia on the 4th February 2014. She is ding a Bucket List of 50 things that she wants to achieve before she die’s/FA kicks in, now I think this is pretty cool and fair play to her...

But Tasha and any other FA out there reading this here’s my message to you Never Give Up, Don't Back Down and Keep On Trucking. Now I know everybody with FA is different, but just because you have FA doesn’t mean life is over... there is life with FA. I’ve been living with FA for over 12 years now and I pretty much still do all the same things I used to do, something’s I do them a little differently than before, I’m a big believer in where there's a will there's a way.

Just for the record I’m not trying to tell anyone how to live their live or be like me, I’m trying to say that you can still enjoy life even with FA. And let’s face it Yes FA dose suck I wouldn't wish it on anyone (and Yes even to this very day I still get days where I struggle with it, I’m only human) but I find away to battle and keep on going. Kind of going of track a bit now, I don’t know not even sure if this blog helps anyone, but as I said before Never Give Up, Don't Back Down and Keep On Trucking... this live still has some beautiful things, even for us folks with disabilities.

An Evening With Noel Fielding

 

Last night an evening with Noel Fielding was all the fun and we had ICE CREAM  

(It wasn’t free; we had to pay for the ice cream) 

Noel Fielding is such a funny guy

I laughed so much last night, the best part of the night was when Noel came out as Sergeant Raymond Boombox, and started walking among the audience talking to a few people.

My friend Chris is a cool guy and he has a very handsome beard (think of a chubby, more hairy Jeremy McKinnon from A Day To Remember and that’s Chris)

Of course when Noel headed over our way he was going to stop, and that’s what he did and Chris turned into a giggling school girl because Noel touched him he got a little star struck.

Noel Fielding’s tour has to be the strangest comedy show going at the moment, but it’s safe to say we  and everyone at the BIC in Bournemouth last night had good times.
